Apologies

I now see that Mr. Darcy is already trying to do the job that Lizzie avoids. He is attempting to swallow his pride for a greater cause. With a man such as Darcy, writing a letter like that admitting to any fault of his own would be difficult. He is trying, and that is the best that he can do for the moment. Will that convince Lizzie to forgive? Probably not, but it shows progress in their relationship. I might actually be able to get these girls out of my house before I die.

  1. Mr. Bennet, I feel the same way. Mr. Darcy is being the responsible one and trying to make things work, while Lizzi's pride is getting in the way of patching up a bad situation. I also believe that with time Lizzie will soon see the good side of Mr. Darcy and reconsider some of the words she has said about him and maybe mend a relationship that has potential.

  2. Papa, I will always enjoy your sarcasm. Unfortunately, I do not agree with your statement on Darcy's pride. He is so socially awkward, and I can't bare to meet another of those circumstances. I do hope this will all work out in the end.
