Daughters

Why, why could I not have had sons? They seem to be so much easier to raise than these foolish girls. Now I am informed that Lydia has eloped with Wickham. And yet, they are not to be married. I can only hope that Elizabeth will sort out this situation. She blames herself for not having exposed Wickham in the first place.

  1. As do I sir. I have known for a long time that Wickham is the male equivalent of a gold digger, but I said nothing. He tried to elope with my own sister, however I would not let her go. If money is what he wants then I shall give him it. This is my fault for not exposing him sooner, and I will fix this.

  3. You know you love us father. Yes, the younger ones can be selfish and immature, but they are family. Never forget that.
