Soldiers
I can hardly stand the silliness that flows from the mouths of my younger daughters these days. Now all they speak about are those soldiers. Can we go to Meryton? Where are the soldiers headed? Can we go to Brighton for the summer? I understand now that it is inevitable that one of my daughters will end up marrying a soldier. I was worried for quite a while that it would end up being Elizabeth, but thankfully that door has been shut.

I do wish for that door to be shut, however, it is not. By denying my proposal, she is still able to marry a soldier. Obviously i do not want this, it would break my heart further. Perhaps you can convince your daughter to accept?
ReplyDeleteThe maturity of your youngest daughters is questionable, Mr. Bennet. As for Lizzie, I am proud of her for denying Darcy, for she stood up for what she did not want. Let Lizzie speak with her and see watch where she ends up. The door maybe opening up for my companion Darcy.
ReplyDeleteI bet it would be a relief for the door to be shut for all your daughters. I have expereinced first hand how a soldier will lie and cheat for pride and money.
